alright. I just want to go on the record that this is something that has been on my mind lately. It's hardly a unique thought; quite the contrary, I would imagine that it is more commonplace than even I realize. And i figure where better to record these thoughts than on the site that spawned the ideas?

The subject I am referring to, as you may (or may not) have guessed by the header, is the recent redesign and overall upgrades to the functionality of this site. But that is not the idea i referred to earlier; we'll get to that in a minute.

What I want to cover first of all is that I think it is good that Newgrounds is growing. With a fresh redesign such as this, more attention is brought to the site, which has a trickle-down effect on the artists and authors that contribute the site's content. This, in turn, causes the chances of them being able to make a living off their work to increase, which is a goal of any practical person. Just look at egoraptor; he has cartoons published with MTV, a major television network. I believe that speaks for itself.

Now, onto that Idea I previously mentioned. I'll put it simply: the redesign is likely a direct result of increased income from ads and other sources. One could go so far as to say that Tom might have sold out. This is purely conjecture, of course, and is meant in no way to offend Mr. Fulp; if he is or was faced with a situation such as that, I would not blame him in the least. He has a family to provide for, and like any man, would sacrifice his "pet" for the good of his family. Bear in mind that Mr. Tom Fulp is not a stupid man, and is no stranger to controversy. He would likely leverage the infamy for even greater success. His family is lucky to have him.

But I'm rambling. I simply wanted it written (or typed) down somewhere. I've accomplished that, I think. As I said, it's pure conjecture. Besides, it's not like anyone reads posts from this profile anyway. and even if they did, this post is so long that they'll have lost interest long before they read this sentence.
